Trauma.Club - Navigating PTSD Together

Our Mission

Helem Club was founded in 2022 by and for people with Post Traumatic Stress Injury (commonly known as PTSD) with the vision that we can live a life of more simplicity and ease as we heal. In Hebrew, “Helem” means shock, referring to the common name for PTSD from war, Helem krav
Our mission is to provide community, resources, and support to people with Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) without the need for mental health professionals.
Helem.Club is calling attention to the urgent need for accessible, affordable, and approachable resources for millions of Israelis, as well as the long-term needs for empowered community, culture change, and education to reach people living with PTSD and their families, across the globe.

The Problem

Since October 7, 2023 Israel is experiencing its largest military operation and reserves mobilization. Today, at least 1 in 10 Israelis are suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Injury (commonly known as PTSD). 90% of these people are undiagnosed, untreated, and dealing with symptoms like rage, aggression, panic attacks, and suicidal ideation ALONE. Fifty minutes of weekly therapy cannot provide the full range of rehabilitation and support they need. Social normalization of PTSD is critical. The consequences of continued societal shame and denial include widespread dysfunction, increased violence, and generational trauma.

Our Solution

Helem.Club is the only organization created by people with PTSD, offering low-to-no-barrier digital tools and community resources available 24/7 to all people, regardless of stage, diagnosis, and financial means.
»Easy access entry points for those suffering and undiagnosed to start rehabilitation.
»Peer-led programs that are free and accessible 24/7 from the comfort of home.
»Self-guided videos offering information, normalization, and support to those in need.
»Communities that provide a safe space to ask questions and feel understood.
»Resources for family, friends, and employers of people with PTSD.
